2024 Competition report

Congratulations to Karen B and Roy who won the top competitor trophies.

During 2024….

7 women and 7 men represented our club at Masters competitions
Our club was represented at 9 competitions during the year
We won a total of 35 gold medals, 39 silver medals and 32 bronze medals
Mike Goddard won gold in all of his 5 races
Caitlin won gold in all of her 4 races

Well done to everyone who took part in competitions in 2024, especially Roy, who entered races far and wide to claim his 116 points, winning 13 gold medals, 9 silver medals and 6 bronze medals!

Christine Thomas – 22 December 1964 to 10 November 2024

We were saddened to learn that Christine passed away last month shortly before her 60th birthday – please see the Facebook message from the family below.

"Unfortunately, we write to share the heartbreaking news of Christine’s passing in the early hours of Sunday morning. She was at home and surrounded by family. Her decline over the past few weeks took us all by surprise. But that was Christine all over - determined to stay alive but then determined to go when she accepted it was time. She was the definition of resilience.
