Thanks to everyone who supported the presentation evening which celebrates the achievements over the past year at RNSC Masters. 16 of us met at Hollywood Bowl in Watford for a couple of games of ten pin bowling. We split into 4 teams of 4 players:
GAME 1 Top 3 individual scorers - Martin (109) / Duncan (103) / Andrew (101) GAME 2 Top 3 individual scorers - Andrew (133) / Heera (109) / Chris (88) TEAM SCORES:
Congratulations to Team 4 who were the overall winners with 612 points.
A fun evening was had by all and we look forward to doing it again in the future. Thank you to all those who attended the annual presentation evening which took place at Harefield Cricket Club on Saturday 13th January 2024. Following a rare opportunity to socialise with a drink in our hands and our clothes on, we moved to the formal part of the evening.
Thank you to everyone who participated with enthusiasm in the fun in-house gala. It was great fun to watch, with some memorable performances.
Happy Christmas to everyone and best wishes for a swimming 2024! On Tuesday evening Roger and Martin presented their first half hour 'Tech Session'.
Roger's team practised their dive starts from the blocks and sprint techniques. Sprint times were recorded for those taking part. Martin's group of six dissected the technical elements of backstroke, looking to find changes which would improve their technique and pace. Watch out for details of next month's session on Tuesday 10th October (and let Roger and Martin have any feedback for the content of future sessions). RNSC Masters celebrated their annual awards last night after a three year absence. 45 members and guests came together at Harefield Cricket Club to award trophies and certificates for achievements over the past year.
Thank you to 17 members of RNSC who attended this very informative and enjoyable resuscitation training session provided by a local NHS Resuscitation Officer. The interest, enthusiasm and energy put into learning how to respond to an emergency situation bodes well should these skills be needed in real life. Hopefully it has made it less scary to start emergency first aid or grab the defibrillator. Well done everyone.
