Thanks to everyone who supported the presentation evening which celebrates the achievements over the past year at RNSC Masters.
Gaining most points at competitions were Roy Wilson for Top Man and Karen Butterworth for Top Woman. A full breakdown of points can be found on the website here. The trophies were awarded by our Chairman Paul Catherall, who noted an increased interest in competitions which bodes well for competitions this year. |
Roger presented the 'Most Improved Swimmer' award to Helen Barrios, and a new award of 'Commitment to Swimming' was presented to Jill Kirner, recognising her commitment not only to swimming - being a regular attendee - but to the club in her role as membership secretary, not to mention other official posts she has held over the years - very well done to both.
The 'Outstanding Achievement Award' went to Mike Goddard, one of our longest standing members who has had a fantastic year of competing, picking up the most gold medals despite a period when he was not able to train for a number of weeks - well done!
Well done to all our winners!
Following the presentation there was a buffet and a chance to socialise with our clothes on! The well supported raffle raised £155 for club funds - thanks to Jill and Karen for organising this. Finally skill and brains were tested in an assortment of activities - you can view some more photos of the evening below, thanks to Paddy for the pictures. The winning team of Joelie & Rod, Teresa & Kevin and Judith & Mark proved worthy winners.
Paul thanked everyone who works hard to keep our club functioning and many thanks to everyone for joining in at this event. Hope to see you all in the pool, at social events or at competitions in 2025.
