Ruislip Northwood Masters Swimming Club, established in 1989, is for adult swimmers seeking fitness through swimming and / or training to participate in competitions.
To qualify as a 'Masters' swimmer you need to be 25 years of age or over, but we also welcome younger adults aged 18+. Currently we have over 50 members with ages ranging from 18 to 80+.
RNSC Masters hold four training sessions a week at two different pools in Bushey and Northwood. Full details of session times and locations can be found here. We have a mix of training sessions - some led from the poolside by a trainer, and some where we work from printed schedules. Although front crawl is the mainstay of most swimmers' training, our sessions are also designed to encourage the use of backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly. |
The RNSC Masters' motto is fitness, fun and friendship, and we do our best to foster all three of these aims. We hold regular ‘curry nights’ and other social events.
Full details of membership options can be found here. If you are interested in joining us, please contact us to arrange a date to 'try out' at one of our sessions. We are committed to welcoming all to be a fully inclusive club. Please note that you need to be able to swim front crawl and at least one other stroke, and be able to swim at least 80 lengths of a 25m pool (2,000m) in a one-hour session (whether that is using a para swimming technique or otherwise). Please let us know if you have any special requirements so that we can seek to adapt to your needs. |
