RNSC Masters - celebrating 30 years of swimming
On Saturday 5 October 2019, members of RNSC Masters celebrated the Club's 30th anniversary with a river cruise on the Thames. Fortunately it didn't rain so we were able to enjoy the wonderful sights of London and its bridges on deck whilst drinking a glass of bubbly. This was followed by a delicious meal and dancing for those who had the energy to do so!
In her speech Club Chair, Christine Rowley, talked about the history of the Club and Masters swimming and it was also a time to remember Club members and Coaches over the past 30 years. We would not have been here without you all.
Thank you to the Club Committee and in particular Karen O'Dea for organising such an enjoyable evening.

Thank you message from Ron Gilder
Many thanks for a great last night and a most generous gift. Over the years I have made a lot of friends in this Club and elsewhere.
Our competitions are taken very seriously but still remain very friendly. We have competed with the very best and held our own in all our competitions.
RNSC Masters is not only a competitive club, we also have some very good non competetive swimmers, and this is what this Club is all about. Everybody at this Club helps one another.
I would like to thank Jill, Karen, Keith, Christine, Ann & Laraine for the work they do for the Club and for the support they have given me.
Once again, thank you all very much.
Wishing all of you the very best for the future.
Keep Swimming!
Ron

Ron Gilder retires
Ron Gilder has been coaching the Ruislip Northwood Masters swimmers since the start! Ron recently retired from coaching at the end of December 2011. Everyone at the Club wishes Ron the very best in his retirement.
Ron has been a true inspiration at RNSC and was part of the team that formed the Masters Club in 1989. We are all going to miss Ron so much, but we really do hope he will come along for an occasional swim on a Saturday morning, and continue to join us at our regular Club events
