Well done to the 11 swimmers who competed in swim meets this year, and congratulations to Lynda and Roy, who won the top competitor trophies!
Thanks to everyone who supported the presentation evening which celebrates the achievements over the past year at RNSC Masters.
Congratulations to Karen B and Roy who won the top competitor trophies.
During 2024….
Well done to everyone who took part in competitions in 2024, especially Roy, who entered races far and wide to claim his 116 points, winning 13 gold medals, 9 silver medals and 6 bronze medals! Thank you to all those who attended the annual presentation evening which took place at Harefield Cricket Club on Saturday 13th January 2024. Following a rare opportunity to socialise with a drink in our hands and our clothes on, we moved to the formal part of the evening.
Well done to all of you who took part in competitions during the year! Roy regained the trophy for 'Top Boy' and after a year without any female contenders in 2022, Karen B took the 'Top Girl' trophy. See the full results below. There is one name missing from our chart - Dan (lane 1) put in some fast swims for his 'first claim' club, The Met Police.
At our best turnout we fielded 8 swimmers at the Middlesex Masters Meet at Barnet Copthall, where we also entered a Men's and a Women's relay team. It's a lot more fun when more members enter, and this competition is open to those without 'Club Compete' membership, so please watch out for the 2024 meet details if you would like to join the fun. In lesser numbers we also attended these competitions: Barnet Copthall Distance Meet, Sprint Meet and 1500m Freestyle Meet Marlins (Isle of Wight), Newmarket, Etwall Eagles, Berks and South Bucks, SE Championships at Crawley RNSC Masters celebrated their annual awards last night after a three year absence. 45 members and guests came together at Harefield Cricket Club to award trophies and certificates for achievements over the past year.

After two years without swimming competitions due to the Covid pandemic and lockdowns, the race calendar this year provided a welcome return to the blocks for three RNSC swimmers. Chris S. saved himself for the National Short Course Championships in Sheffield at the end of October, bringing home a gold, a silver and a bronze medal for his 4 races. Paul C. has been chasing breaststroke times at 3 competitions this year, bringing home 2 gold and 2 bronze medals. Martin A. attended 4 competitions and won 4 gold, 5 silver and a bronze medal. Loading the results into the RNSC spreadsheet makes it look as if I am a clear winner, however I must point out that there were very few competitors in my age group at the competitions that I attended. |
