As the year ends, this puts me 6th fastest in the UK in my age group at this event (or last, as there is no 7th place....) Thank you to 17 members of RNSC who attended this very informative and enjoyable resuscitation training session provided by a local NHS Resuscitation Officer. The interest, enthusiasm and energy put into learning how to respond to an emergency situation bodes well should these skills be needed in real life. Hopefully it has made it less scary to start emergency first aid or grab the defibrillator. Well done everyone.

Paul Catherall and I (Martin Appleby) may not have won the Top Team trophy for RNSC, but we did enjoy some good swims:
The Barnet Copthall meet is possibly the best Open Masters event outside of the National Championship meets, with competitors coming from as far away as Devon, Wales and Ireland. 3 World records, 1 European and 2 British Masters records were set. |
